Objective
Recognized by TripAdvisor as one of America’s top 10 “Charming Small Towns” in 2011, Galena, IL is a tourist destination known for its history and architecture. VisitGalena, the town’s marketing organization, came to Fusion92 wanting to promote their town with a special giveaway.
Approach
Fusion92 worked with VisitGalena to select Facebook as the appropriate channel to reach their targeted audiences.
Fusion92 then deployed ads featuring an all-expenses paid wedding provided by VisitGalena.
In addition to targeting those interested in weddings and travel, Fusion92’s media services honed the campaign in on audiences in Chicago, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and Des Moines, who’d be most likely to consider Galena for a destination wedding.
The campaign did exceptionally well, driving shares and likes on Facebook for VisitGalena’s awareness goals. It also drove a significant amount of entries to the giveaway with click-through rates almost three times industry average.
